Royal Montrose Golf Club held its highly
successful 'Second Ever' Bicentenary 25 Hole Open on
Sunday 30th May over the
Montrose Links Medal and Broomfield courses. The event encountered
rain, bright sunshine and a strong northerly wind which made the
links course a really tough test.
The target score for the day was a gross 112 strokes, as set by
William Doleman of Glasgow GC in the 'First Ever' 25 Hole Open held
over the Montrose Links in 1866.
