HOLES IN ONE

 
2009 Season
Mary Ramsay (Royal Montrose Ladies) scored a hole in one on the 192 yard 16th hole (Par 3) on the Montrose Championship Course while playing in the weekly medal on 9th July 2009.  Mary used a driver, and her playing partner was Jan Walker.
 
Margaret Stewart (Royal Montrose Ladies) scored a hole in one on the 192 yard 16th hole (Par 3) on the Montrose Championship Course while playing a Club tie on 9th June 2009.  Margaret used a driver, and her playing partner was Hazel Howatson.
 
Jamie Pert (Royal Montrose GC) scored a hole in one on the 140 yard 12th hole of the Montrose Championship course on Friday 5th June 2009 while playing in the Montrose Rotary Club AM/AM. Jamie used a 9 iron, and his playing partners were Campbell Walsh, Craig Bruce and Alistair McNab.
 
Tony Smith (Royal Montrose GC) scored a hole in one on the 150 yard 3rd hole of the Montrose Championship course on Wednesday 18th February 2009. Tony used a 6 iron, and his playing partners were John Dunbar and Tony Faccenda.

2008 Season
Michael Miller (Royal Montrose GC) notched up his sixth hole in one on 9th August 2008.   While playing in the IWCF-UK Branchers Team in the Royal Montrose AM/AM with Shona Cummins, John Batchelor and Andy Christie on the Montrose Medal course, Mike scored a hole-in-one on the 236 yard 16th hole (Par 3) using a 17 degree Rescue wood.  His previous holes in one were at the 12th hole on the Montrose Medal and at Gorleston, Great Yarmouth.
 
Azzie Paton (Royal Montrose GC) notched up his third hole in one on 6th July 2008.   While playing in a bounce game with Rae Strachan and Peter McGuone on the Montrose Medal course Azzie scored a hole-in-one at the 140 yard 3rd hole (Par 3) using a gap wedge.  His previous holes in one were at the 16th hole on the Medal and on the 12th hole on the Broomfield course.
 
Janet Henderson (Royal Montrose Ladies) scored a hole in one on the 130 yard 13th hole (Par 3) on the Carnoustie Championship Course while playing in the Northern Ladies Open on 15th June 2008.  Janet used a 7 iron and her playing partners were A Wilson and J Meek.
 
F C Gray (Newmachar GC) scored a hole in one on the 226 yard 16th hole (Par 3) on the Montrose Championship Course while playing in the Royal Montrose Senior's Open on 9th May 2008.  F C Grey used a rescue club, and his playing partners were D Hird and B Milne from Murcar GC.
Mr Gray won the 55 - 64 years Handicap Section of the event with a net 68 (handicap 5) on recount over the last six holes.
 

Ron Aitken (Royal Montrose GC) scored a hole in one at the 163 yard 16th hole (Par 3) on the Carnoustie Burnside course while playing in the Kirk Trophy and the Tam Baird Salver.  Ron was using a 7 wood, and his playing partners were Ivor McIvor, Andy Spiers and Barrie Taylor.
